Morning in the Garden
The story of the “Morning in the Garden” pendant — from the first stitches and floral composition to the finished hand embroidery and completed piece.
“Morning in the Garden” tells the story of a pendant inspired by the quiet moment when a garden is just waking. Its floral composition brings together hydrangea, ornamental onion blossoms, greenery, garnet and amethyst beads, and Czech seed beads. The base is specially treated cotton and the embroidery is worked by hand in satin stitch. The frame measures 50 × 35 mm and the chain is 50 cm long.
Inspiration
The story begins with the image of a quiet morning in the garden. Hydrangea and ornamental onion blossoms shape the floral theme, while cream, lilac, pink and green tones create its soft mood.
Materials
The pendant uses specially treated cotton, garnet and amethyst beads, and Czech seed beads. The composition is created for a 50 × 35 mm frame.
The first stitches
The work begins with the first satin stitches. The floral composition of the future pendant gradually takes shape.
Work in progress
Midway through the process, the individual elements begin to form a unified composition. Flowers, greenery, beads and seed beads gradually define the character of “Morning in the Garden”.
Completion
As the embroidery nears completion, the floral theme reads as a whole: hydrangea, ornamental onion blossoms and delicate accents come together in the finished composition.
The finished pendant
The final stage is the finished “Morning in the Garden” pendant with hand satin-stitch embroidery. The frame measures 50 × 35 mm, the weight is 12 grams, and the chain is 50 cm long.
